HALL OF FAME RECIPIENTS

Hilliard Cheer has a rich legacy spanning over 30 years, establishing itself as a cheerleading powerhouse in Ohio. What began with just one high school and one middle school has grown into six schools with multiple competitive teams.

Year after year, our teams consistently rank in the top five at the State Championship, have secured numerous OCC titles, and have even made National Championship appearances.

While most districts have one or two standout programs, Hilliard is unique in being home to three exceptional 7 - 12 cheerleading programs.

Hilliard Cheer’s reputation speaks for itself. We are honoring that legacy with the Hilliard Cheer Hall of Fame. This initiative celebrates the athletes and coaches who have shaped our success. Each high school selects one individual who has left a lasting impact on Hilliard Cheer, ensuring their contributions are remembered for years to come.

CARRIE DUCKWORTH - 2026

2026 Hilliard Cheer Hall of Fame Inductee for Bradley - Carrie Duckworth

Carrie Duckworth was a collegiate cheerleader at Youngstown State University and later brought her passion for the sport into coaching the Darby Panthers. She later stepped away from coaching for a bit to focus on her career as an educator and raising her family.

Carrie and her husband, Seth, raised three outstanding children — Ally, Aimee, and Ryan. Ally and Aimee both cheered at Bradley, giving Carrie the proud title of “cheer mom.” She later returned to coaching with renewed purpose and commitment.

As a varsity coach at Bradley, Carrie helped shape the foundation of the program for over a decade. She inspired cherished traditions such as the last lap and cookie table. She developed the Halftime Duck Toss and Bradley Cheer Scholarship. And she worked hard to help establish Bradley’s first-ever Game Day competition team, strengthening school spirit and providing a wider range of opportunity for athletes.

Beyond cheerleading, Carrie recently retired after 33 years of teaching at Hilliard Station and Tharp, where she built a respected career and positively impacted thousands of students and families.

Carrie Duckworth is a pillar of the Hilliard community. Her strong character, dedicated leadership, and positive attitude helped shape Bradley cheerleading into the fun, supportive, and hardworking culture it is today.

NIKOLE ABATE - 2025

2025 Hilliard Cheer Hall of Fame Inductee for Bradley - Nikole Abate

Nikole Abate is the embodiment of Hilliard Cheer. A former Hilliard cheerleader herself, Nikole carried her passion for the sport into every role she would later hold — coach, educator, mentor, and supporter of school spirit.

Nikole coached at Hilliard Bradley, where she was known for her commitment to precision and maintaining the standard. She believed deeply in doing things the right way, not just to build strong teams, but to instill discipline, confidence, and pride that athletes could carry far beyond cheerleading. She also shared her knowledge and love for the sport through Hilliard Cheer Academy, helping develop young athletes across the district.

Nikole and her husband, Mark, raised two remarkable daughters. Emma proudly represented Bradley as a cheerleader, while Sophie became a key member of the Bradley band. Sophie has also carved out her own connection to Bradley Cheer by stepping in to perform the Narco dance at football Friday nights, further extending the Abate family’s legacy and connection to Hilliard Cheer.

Nikole also coached at Hilliard Darby alongside her close friend and fellow Hall of Fame inductee, the late Michele Spring Miller, where their shared commitment to athletes and the program left a lasting impact.

At her core, Nikole coached to help athletes realize they can. Her dedication, integrity, and belief in others helped define the standard of Hilliard Cheer, making her a truly deserving member of the Hilliard Cheer Hall of Fame.

AIMEE JORDAN - 2024

2024 Bradley Cheer Hall of Fame Inductee - Aimee Jordan

Aimee Jordan is a trailblazer in Hilliard Cheer whose influence helped shape programs from their earliest foundations. Aimee cheered in Hilliard before continuing her athletic career as a member of the Miami University Dance Team, where she further developed her love for performance, precision, and team culture.

She returned to Hilliard to begin her coaching career at Heritage Middle School. Aimee later moved to the high school level, coaching at Hilliard Darby before making a historic move when Bradley opened in 2009.

Aimee became Bradley’s first-ever cheerleading coach, leading both football cheerleading and competition cheer. Under her leadership, Bradley earned its only team state championship to date in Division II Traditional Competition Cheerleading (2011). Following that season, Aimee stepped away from coaching to spend more time with her family.

Aimee and her husband, Jedd, are raising two wonderful daughters, Charlie and Quincy, both of whom have followed in their mom’s footsteps and developed a love for cheerleading. Today, Aimee continues to share her passion for the sport through Hilliard Cheer Academy and by serving as an evaluator at Hilliard Cheerfests, providing guidance and feedback to athletes across the district.

Aimee Jordan’s leadership, vision, and commitment to excellence helped lay the foundation for lasting success in Hilliard Cheer, making her a truly deserving member of the Hilliard Cheer Hall of Fame.
